Make sure that Track Changes is switched on, as in the screenshot below. Go to the Review tab and select the Tracking drop-down arrow. First, open your Microsoft Word document and go to the Review tab. As someone who works with a lot of different documents, I’m with you in preferring the “old style” revision display in Microsoft Word for Mac. The feature is set to off by default, so enable it for every document you wish to track.
